Posted on 03-23-2009 by IndianyouthTell  Print

Everyone had a great time this summer at our South Dakota Camp, which was held in the Black Hills of South Dakota at Camp Bob Marshall.  The camp was held from August 5th – 16th. We had 64 campers and staff from 15 tribes and 9 states participate in the camp.

The campers and staff enjoyed camp activities such as arts & crafts, Indian games, hoop dancing, Healthy Living, swimming, canoeing, hiking, puppetry, basketball, softball, volleyball, Field Trips to Harney Peak, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse…..

Everyone totally enjoyed the awesome campfire entertainment provided by Buddy Big Mountain, Dallas Chief Eagle, Belinda Joe, Brian Akepa and a Lakota drum group from Rapid City.
